Pet Travel Certificate

Visited the vet to get the ball rolling on the Pet travel certificate.  On arrival the vet scanned each dog in turn, checking the microchip numbers correlated with the system and records he had.  He then had to check they were all up to date with their Rabies vaccination’s – they were.  An overall check of heart and health with me and we were free to go, with instructions to come back the following day to pick up the certificate.

Very easy to be honest.  I picked up the certificate and was informed that I needed to fill in a declaration on one of the forms contained in the large document.  This was page 9 on my one, it was the microchip numbers of each dog and the health certificate numbers.  A word of caution – make sure that you can read the numbers before you leave the surgery,  I read mine and from the handwriting concluded the first 2 digits were numbers.  They were not, the English certificate numbers start with a GB.  I had to correct that once I realised, sat in the carpark at Euro tunnel reading and researching more online about the process.
