Day 6 – Dog Trainer and her Dogs in Valencia

Spudley has cut his pads over the last couple of days on the sharp rocks, I have been dressing them with Aloe Vera Gel, but I decided today to do a less mountainous route.  This was just under 5K, and was a woodland path.  There were some rocky sections, but I called Spudley back to walk at heel.  He is a lovely keen boy, but also a bit of an idiot and would run like a loony opening up the sores on his feet.

I have been finding the walks through an app called All Trails.  I have found the app to be fantastic overall, but it does drain the phone battery so I have been losing a lot of battery power using the online mapping as I hike.

This particular route, I lost phone signal in the very thick wooded section and so the app lost me for a time.  The route was very easy to follow though and as such I had no issue.  The temperature was about 22-23 degrees and really very pleasant.  Beautiful views.

On returning to the hotel I decided to take advantage of the Spanish culture of a siesta in the afternoon.  I absolutely love that pastime, and highly recommend you take advantage.

With the three dogs – eating out is difficult as there are very few fully dog friendly restaurants.  Eating on the terraces is fine with dogs, the problem this time of year is that the evening temperature drops and is quite cool in comparison to the daytime temperatures.  Not really very comfortable for eating outside.
